Oil and Maintenance Guide for 2017 Arctic Cat 1000 XT EPS 951
Before You Service the Engine
For the 2017 Arctic Cat 1000 XT EPS 951, planning an engine service involves checking the correct lubricant application and following the proper refill procedure. A catalog recommendation is a starting point rather than proof of every manufacturer requirement; consult the correct service instructions before adding fluid.
What type of oil does a 2017 Arctic Cat 1000 XT EPS 951 take?
The available oil-product listings include Formula 4-Stroke Power Sports Synthetic Motor Oil. For a service, choose oil that meets the engine’s actual application requirements, not just a product name.
How much oil does a 2017 Arctic Cat 1000 XT EPS 951 take?
The available engine-oil capacity figure is 2.01 quarts. The amount added during a routine drain may differ from the listed capacity; use the correct level-check procedure when refilling.
Why does four-stroke engine oil need the right application rating?
Engine oils differ in additive packages and friction characteristics. Some powersports engines share oil with a wet clutch or transmission, so matching the manufacturer’s oil requirements matters in addition to viscosity. This listing does not by itself confirm the clutch design.
