2011 Nissan Altima Automatic Transmission Fluid and Capacity
Published on February 13th, 2023 by Searchforparts.com
The 2011 Altima is available in three different engines (one is a hybrid) and the automatic transmission fluid type and capacity needed may be different for each engine. Also, we will mention how to find information for a manual transmission.
What transmission fluid is used in Nissan Altima?
First, identify what kind of engine you have. If you have a 4-cylinder or 6-cylinder engine and it is not a hybrid, then you can use CVT fluid NS-2. The 2.5L Hybrid needs Nissan Matic W ATF. Do not use any fluid or mix a fluid that is not compatible with your transmission. See below for a suggestion/compatible fluid for your engine.
How much transmission fluid does a 2011 Nissan Altima need?
The 2.5L or 4-cylinder needs 7.7 quarts, the 6-cylinder or 3.5L needs 10.8 quarts, and the 2.5L Hybrid requires s 4.3 quarts. These amounts are total fill amounts, in other words, to completely fill or replace the entire transmission fluid that it can hold.
