Removes Fuel Injector Deposits
In many new engines, there is a technology called gasoline direct injection (GDI) which helps make the car more powerful and efficient. These injectors sit right in the super hot and pressurized area where fuel burns, which makes them vulnerable to getting dirty. When there’s a lot of pressure and the fuel doesn’t burn completely, it creates a bunch of soot (like tiny bits of dirt) in the engine. Direct injection engines usually make 30 to 40 times more soot than other types. Even a little bit of dirt on these injectors can make the car pollute more, wear out faster, and use more fuel without giving you as much power.
When your injectors get dirty, it can make your car less efficient, less powerful, and use more fuel. Plus, it can make your car pollute more and have trouble starting smoothly. But with P.i., those stubborn deposits get cleaned up, keeping your injectors working like they’re supposed to. We wanted to show how well P.i. works, so we did some tests with a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado truck that had already been driven over 100,000 miles. First, we checked how much horsepower it had using a special machine. Then, we took the engine apart to see how dirty it was. After just one tank of fuel treated with P.i. and driving on the highway, we checked the horsepower again. It had increased by a whopping 14%! We took the engine apart once more to see how much cleaner it was because of P.i. The pictures we took showed how well P.i. cleaned up the injectors and cylinder heads, making a big difference in power and efficiency. See pictures below!
Fights Intake Valve Deposits
Valve deposits mess with how air flows into the cylinder, throwing off the balance between air and fuel. They grab onto fuel for a bit, then let it go, causing disruptions. These deposits can also make the valve stick by blocking the valve stem and guide.
Cleans Combustion Chamber Deposits
When gunk builds up in the combustion chamber, it can mess with how the engine works. First, it can make the compression stronger and soak up heat when the fuel burns. Later on, it releases that heat during the next cycle. Sometimes, this gunk can get so bad that the piston hits the cylinder head, which is called “carbon rap.” Also, these deposits can break off and get stuck between the valves and valve seat, causing the engine to lose some compression. When compression gets too high and there’s too much heat, the fuel can ignite on its own before the spark, causing a problem called “knock.” This not only makes more pollution but can also hurt the engine. Many cars have sensors to fix the timing of the spark and prevent knock, but it still affects how much power the engine makes and how well it works. Using higher-octane fuel can help stop knock from happening. But as a car gets older, it might need more expensive fuel to stay in top shape.
