2002 was the last year of the 4th generation Camaro and Camaro Z28. This car put out 310 Horsepower and 340 lbs. of torque. This car was capable of running low 13's or high 12's in the quarter mile straight from the showroom floor. 0-60 times can be low as 5.2 seconds. Any car with the matching or beating the performance with today's pricing usually costs twice the price of what one of these Z28's would cost. This car had amazing performance per dollar spent. The 6 speeds could get an incredible 28 MPG on the highway. I can testify to this as I've owned several Z28's with 6-speed transmissions and have gotten 28 MPG or higher. As of October of 2005, I bought a 2002 Camaro Z28 with automatic. It was getting 22 MPG when I got it. After putting Amsoil 0W30 in the engine, Amsoil ATF in the automatic transmission and Amsoil 75W90 gear lube in the rear end, I am now getting just over 25 MPG on the highway with this car.
