If you want to virtually eliminate oil change altogether for the Hummer, I would recommend installing a dual bypass oil filter kit. This amazing filter cleans oil down to 1 micron. It cleans the oil so well that you don't need to drain it. You only need to change the filters periodically and every so often send in an oil sample to make sure the oil is good enough to keep driving.
